Eles is a series of portraits developed during the master's program and through ongoing personal practice. The title, ‘them’, gathers a cast of faces into a single, quiet study of the human presence.
Some were drawn from live models, with gestures and expressions captured in real time, the drawing keeping pace with the sitter. Others emerged through artistic experimentation, faces surfacing from the work itself.
Across both approaches, the series stays attentive to the same thing: how a person is held in line, shadow, and the briefest of expressions.
